Building Better Bystanders
The US continues to face an opioid crisis, rising gun violence, limited access to healthcare, and other public health challenges. We can no longer afford to sit on our hands while our communities go without the skills needed to respond. That is why GoodWorks is doing its part, providing life-saving programs and training across the DC metro area to build stronger, safer communities.

Health Literacy Booths
We believe in meeting people where they are. That is why we set up our health literacy booths not just at community events, but also on street corners, basketball courts, and other everyday spaces, making sure we engage every part of the community.

Public Health Programs
- Opioid harm reduction

Connecting the Community
We care deeply about public safety, but we also care about listening to the communities most impacted by inequality. That is why we speak with and survey the people we serve, making sure their voices shape our programs. We also advocate directly to legislators and community leaders for the changes needed to address public safety and health disparities. We firmly believe that public safety is a shared responsibility, and it requires all of us to play our part.

Become a Volunteer
Whether you’re a student, a public health professional, a healthcare worker enjoying a day off, or simply interested in contributing to a meaningful community initiative, GoodWorks welcomes you to volunteer!

You Can Make A Difference
As part of our mission to promote health equity, we donate first aid kits each year to families in key communities across the DC metro area. A $10 donation helps us provide a comprehensive kit to a family, equipping them with the basic tools needed to respond to everyday emergencies.
